    The invention relates to a mechanical adjustment mechanism for recessed ceiling lights. It consists of a cover plate with slot and a metal bar with integrated laser beam. The cover plate is placed on the lamp and removed after the alignment of the light cone. The "light precisor" allows precise control of the cone of light when the luminaire is switched on by means of the laser beam without removing the luminaire. The laser beam helps to focus the luminaire precisely on objects to be illuminated when it is switched on.

    The "light precisor" is a tool that enables the visual merchandiser to perform the necessary and always repeating settings on the lighting on the sales area easier and much more precise. The light-precisor consists of a mechanical recording facial expressions, which receives a laser pointer. The entire apparatus is fitted with a cover ring, which includes a slot on the recessed downlight. After locking, the downlight can now be mechanically rotated by 359 ° and the emerging cone of light can be swiveled up to 35 °. The light distribution from the downlight is precisely aligned with the help of the laser pointer on the goods to be illuminated, exhibits etc. The laser pointer is used because you can see the exact point of the incident light cone despite the light is switched on.
    Reason of the invention:
    In retail lighting, the VM people (visual merchandise) are responsible that the lighting on the layout of the merchandise presentation is always coordinated. As the layouts change constantly, there is an increased requirement for the handling of the lighting.
    So far, the market could offer no simple and workable solution.
    With the "light precisor" a simple, but very ingenious solution has been invented.
    State of the art:
    There are efforts to satisfy the needs of VM people; however, this has not been achieved so far. The simplicity of the "light-precisor", a mixture of mechanics using the laser pointer, is the most practical solution. The VM staff should be trained on light, but it is rarely. Here, too, the "light precisor" very well accommodates the conditions.
    The light precisor has been developed for a pinhole downlight series, but can also be easily adapted to any type of other recessed downlights. Bus bar radiators could also be equipped with the "light precisor".
